Where in the World is Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows?
We have had a busy month here at Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows! Between our participation in Warren Civic Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast, and focusing on getting our food license (which includes working exclusively in the commercial kitchen at Pop’s) time has flown and we have not been out and about as before.
And even more, we were booked up last month with special orders! It was a crazy month, but a good one!
So what’s a fan to do if they’re jonesin’ for a handmade lollipop? Or if they want to browse the new patterns we have available for our hair accessories?
Well, of course our products are now available on the shelves at Pop’s Corn and Candy Shoppe. And, we are once again accepting new special orders. But there are some fun locations coming up during the beginning of September where you can catch us (or at least our lollipops)!
On September 10th we can be found in our finest greenery at the 1st Annual Oakland County Irish
Festival. We will have a booth at the street fair on 12 Mile Rd in Downtown Berkley from 12pm -8pm. This festival promises to be a blast with Irish music and dance, pipers and an Irish history tent. For the kids there is a Fairy Door Scavenger hunt. And of course kids both young and old will want to check out the Irish themed lollipops and headbands we are creating for this event. We will be premiering a new lollipop flavor: Irish Cream!
They have a great entertainment line up too (attach schedule from page). The festival will be taking donations for warm outer wear, such as hats and gloves, for the local homeless population and vets.

Also on September 10th is Cabaret for a Cure. We are proud to be supporting this family friendly musical revue that is raising funds for CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. Many of our favorite local performers and friends will be participating in this event. And in addition to the wonderful entertainment on stage, there will be a meet and greet with superheroes and fairytale characters! There is also a dessert reception.
We attended this even last year as patrons, and enjoyed it immensely! We would be returning this year if we weren’t double booked, but we are sending lollipops in our place (and let’s face it, that’s what you really want to see, right?!).
This event is held at Bishop Foley Catholic High School from 6pm – 8 pm. Tickets are $15 until August 27th and $20 after.
